Dr. Katherine Tyler

Dr. Tyler grew up in upstate New York. Ever since she was young, she has had a passion for animals; however she did not know she wanted to be a veterinarian until later in life! After she graduated from Columbia University, Dr. Tyler worked as a research assistant recruiting patients with psychoses for EEG studies. At that time, her beloved family dog, Cooper, developed tick-borne paralysis. It was then that she decided to switch gears from human medicine to veterinary medicine. For the next two years, Dr. Tyler worked as a veterinary assistant while attending night school to acquire the prerequisites for veterinary school. Dr. Tyler graduated from Tufts University in 2015, after which she did a rotating small animal internship at VCA West Los Angeles.

Dr. Tyler is passionate about preventative medicine and client education. When not working, Dr. Tyler spends time with her husband, daughter, and dogs Dumbledore and Hedwig. She loves reading, spending time with friends, and staying active in her down time.
